The North End Club was reformed in 2006 with a new club house and new members which were all beginners. We welcome players of all standards including new bowlers, and we now have four teams in the Portsmouth & District Short Mat bowls league.
The North End Bowls Club mainly play indoor short mat bowls, however we do have an outdoor green which has recently been refurbished and is being used more regularly now.
We actively compete in the Portsmouth & District league and have shown great results so far. Many players also choose to compete in national games, for Hampshire or various friendlies and open competitions both local and afar. Some of our players also enter Short Mat Players Tour (SMPT) events both in the UK and abroad.
